Makeup Masterclass with Nars

Last week, I was lucky enough to be invited to a beauty event held by Nars at the Manchester Selfridges store. After being a long time admirer of Nars Cosmetics, I finally took the plunge last year and treated myself to a few of their well known products and have been in love with them ever since. As you can imagine, I was over the moon to be going to a makeup masterclass with two of their makeup artists from the Selfridges counter - Stephanie & Paige.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with drinks & cakes and Stephanie started to apply one of their Autumn looks on a fellow blogger whilst Paige talked through the products she was using. They'd chosen to do a bold look with a smokey eye and a dark lip and kept the makeup tones warm throughout to keep the look polished and stick with the Autumn theme.

As a beauty blogger & self confessed makeup addict, I'm surprisingly bad at beating my face so it was really helpful to hear from an MUA on the techniques they use and I'll definitely be trying out some of their tips & tricks on my next night out.
Although this look is a little heavy for me to pull off, I'll be taking inspiration from the warm vibes & recreating something similar this season that's a little more wearable.

After they finished the look, we all chatted about the products & tried a few for ourselves. I have a list as long as my arm of products I'm coveting but as I'm going to the US soon, I resisted buying them as they'll be cheaper across the pond! They shade matched me to the infamous Sheer Glow and of course, I was the lightest shade. Ghost girl for life.

All in all, it was a wonderful evening and very informative. I made some lovely blogger friends who hopefully I'll see again soon and picked up some helpful tips and some new products to add to my wish list. I also received a lovely goody bag including their cult classic 'Orgasm' blush (which I annoyingly already own) and a beautiful, bright pink lipgloss in the shade 'Priscilla' which I can't wait to try.
