Topshop 5 Years of Beauty Collection

I'm going to start this post with an apology as it's been far too long since my last post. I'm not normally one to make up excuses but between me and my puppy being ill, moving home and having no internet, it's been pretty damn hard to blog so I hope you'll forgive me. This post was originally meant to go up over a month ago (yikes!) so I'm sorry if this collection is old news to you now but I'm sure there's a few left who haven't heard about it. I think that's enough rambling now so on with the actual post...

Topshop Beauty celebrated it's fifth birthday this year and for the occasion they released some of their most loved products in a limited edition rose gold packaging. Me being me, I got completely sucked in and bought most of the collection. The only things I didn't buy were mostly products I already owned, and I still had to convince myself not to get them again.
I've been a long time lover of Topshop's beauty line and I still remember purchasing my first lipstick from there after Zoella raved about it countless times (the shade Infared, if you're wondering) which I actually wore to my prom so it holds a bit of sentimental value for me as well.
They have such an amazing range of products, not only in terms of colour choice but their formulas are always spot on and it's affordable too.

From top to bottom - Rio Rio, Nevada, Head Over Heels, Polished.

Nails in Boy Next Door.

As you can probably tell from the above photos, I bought four of the five nail polishes available. As this post has been so long in the making, I've actually have a chance to try all of the colours out.
Boy Next Door is a beautiful mint green, Adrenalin is a multicoloured glitter polish, Parma Violet is a lilac and Heart of Gold is a shimmery gold. They all wear really well, don't chip too quick and apply really smooth. Such good value for money at only £6 a pop!

The two lipsticks I bought were Rio Rio and Nevada. The former being a matte tomato red shade and the latter an orange nude colour. As well as these I also purchased the Glow Pot in Polished, a cream highlighter and the Cream Blush in Head Over Heels which is a coral pink cream to powder blush.

Sorry this post is a little all over the place but I've been working on it for so bloody long that I really just want to get it published! Hope you all understand, all being well there should be some more posts soon as I get back into the routine of things. July has kind of been a write off so bring on August!

Have you guys picked up anything from this collection? What are your thoughts on Topshop Beauty?

LookFantastic Beauty Haul

There's nothing I love more than surprise post and a while back I received some beauty goodies from Lookfantastic that did not disappoint. Firstly, I received their latest Beauty Box which was particularly exciting as it's the first beauty box I've ever tried.

The Lookfantastic Beauty Box retails at £15 but contains over £45 worth of products. The May box which I received included one full size product and five sample size products, all of which were a variety of beauty items such as hair care & skin care.

First up in the box was this set of Eylure Pre Glued Lashes in 190. I've loved Eylure as a brand for many years and they are pretty much the only falsies I ever wear so as you can imagine I was pretty excited to see these in the box. However saying that, I've never actually tried any from the pre-glued range before so I'll definitely be giving these a go next time I'm getting ready in a rush as I'm sure it'll save some time not having to fiddle about with their adhesive. I was also impressed with the style I got as it's quite natural looking which is what I tend to go for anyway so no complaints there!

Next up in the box was a sample of the Erno Laszlo Transphuse Night Serum. I was pretty thrilled that this box has three skin care products as I seem to be having a bit of a moment with skin care recently but I haven't actually got round to trying this yet. I'm looking forward to testing it out though as it's over £100 for 15ml so I'm hoping for good things for that price.

Another product I haven't actually tested yet is the Tanworx Self Tanning Lotion. I only fake tanned for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago so this is something completely foreign to me but as I'm not set on using a particular brand yet, I'll be more than happy to give this a go. It seems like a decent size for a sample so hopefully I'll get a couple of uses out of it.

After that we have the award winning Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm which when I first saw it I was a little disappointed with the size but a little goes a really long way. I've used this a good few times and there's still a load left. The full 50ml retails at £46 but it will last you a really long time however for that price you can find cheaper products that take off your makeup just as well. It's a really gentle cleanser that leaves skin hydrated but still removes every inch of makeup.

The penultimate product was the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse which is a multi purpose luxury dry oil. This oil can be used to soften and illuminate your face, body and hair. I think I'm going to save this to take on holiday as it has a bit of shimmer in it but these kind of oils are so big right now so I'm excited to try one!

Saving the best until last, my favourite product from this beauty box was the Christophe Robin Regenerating Hair Mask. As my hair is bleached, it needs all the TLC it can get and this mask makes it feel so luscious and soft. It contains pure prickly pear seed oil (try saying that five times fast!) which is great for repairing damaged hair like mine. It's definitely an investment with a 250ml tub coming in at a mighty £50 but a little goes a long way so it will last well. I've been using mine once or twice a week for about a month and I'm only halfway through the tub!

As well as the Lookfantastic Beauty Box, they also sent me a few other bits to try. I got a sample of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Cleansing Gel which I've been using in the shower and I absolutely love it. It has a lovely fresh scent and it leaves my skin spotlessly clean without irritating it. They also sent me a full size Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish. This is a good scrub and I've loved using this along with my exfoliator gloves to get rid of all my dead skin in the shower. Lovely image for you there...
And last but not least I received TWO Nudestix products. Yes that's right, two! The first was a Lip & Cheek Pencil in Soul. This is a peachy toned nude which I absolutely love as I have no other colour like it in my collection. The formula is very pigmented and creamy and lasts really well. The second Nudestix was the Lip Pen in Bitten which is a deep red shade in a matte finish.  This is a twistable lip product which again is super pigmented and isn't too drying on the lips either. The pencil came with a sharpener which is always a nice bonus and the packaging is very sleek and high end.

I'm honestly still in shock at how generous the wonderful people at Lookfantastic were with all these goodies they sent me and I can't wait to get fully stuck into them all.

-This post contains PR samples however it was my choice to feature these products on my blog and all opinions are my own. -
