Recently, I've been finding myself reaching (please tell me you all read that to the tune of McFly) for high street brands when I'm applying my makeup as they really do have some amazing hidden gems that genuinely compete with the pricier products in my stash. I've never come across anyone who doesn't love a good bargain and with that in mind I thought I'd share my top beauty products for under a fiver.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint £3.99 - These two are in the shades Rose Hip which is a lovely pastel pink and Huckleberry which is a powder blue but they have an absolutely massive range of colours to choose from. The formula for these is amazing, it's smooth to apply and is super glossy once on. They last quite well if you use a top coat and rival some of the more expensive brands such as Butter London & Essie.

Essence Blush Up! Powder Blush £3.50 - Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this brand but this blush is seriously good. It's very pigmented and lasts all day! It applies evenly to the cheeks and goes on really nice. Since picking it up a few weeks ago, it's been the only blush I've been reaching for and it's the perfect shade for summer. If you're on a budget, you should definitely pick this up cos you'll get so much wear out of it in the next few months. At least I know I will! Stay tuned cos this product may be featuring in my first giveaway very soon...

Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm £3.69 - This lip balm has been a life saver for me recently. It contains Kokum Butter which is really hydrating and is 100% natural. It's not the nicest in terms of taste due to being a completely natural product but what it lacks in flavour, it makes up for in hydration. If you're looking for something yummy tasting though, Burt's Bees have a wide range of balms including Pomegranate and Blueberry so there's something for everyone.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19 - This product won't be news to any of you but I couldn't leave it out of this post as it is one of my all time favourite makeup products. I have the shade 1- Fair and it is the perfect match for my skin tone. It covers all my blemishes and redness to near perfection and lasts all day.

Rimmel London Exaggerate Lip Liner £3.99 - I have this in the colour Eastend Snob and it's a perfect brown toned nude which is very on trend at the moment. It's a beautiful creamy consistency that isn't drying on the lips but it's still a true matte finish. It's got a really easy to use twist up applicator as well so no annoying sharpening with this liner. If you're looking for Kylie Jenner lips on a budget, you should pick this up for sure.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder £3 - A beautiful highlighter that leaves the skin with a really natural, healthy glow. I'm loving baked powders at the minute and this is such a bargain at only £3. It's very similar in colour to the Body Shop Highlighter that I mentioned in my Everyday Spring Makeup post but at a fraction of the price. It gives a lovely, radiant sun-kissed shimmer to the face that is so nice for the warmer months ahead, especially if you're going on holiday.

Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick £4.99 - These lip pencils come in quite a wide variety of shades of which I own Love My Pink & Fab Orange. The formula of these is spot on. At it's in a pencil form, you might expect it to be drying on the lips but they are so creamy and comfortable to wear. They are well pigmented and have a pretty matte finish that has some serious staying power. All the shades in the range are super wearable and I'm definitely going to be picking up some more soon, if only they were ever in stock!

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks £1.99 - The cheapest of the products I've shown but I've probably left the best until last. The two blushers I have from the range are Peach Melba & Pink Cloud and they're both matte finishes. They are highly pigmented and both such flattering shades. I've had these for the longest time and I always find myself going back to them!

Did anything catch your eye that you haven't seen before? Do you have your own high street hidden gems? As much as I love the luxury packaging of YSL, you can't beat the feeling of finding a truly amazing product for under a fiver.
