Beauty | Winter Favourites

Although the weather recently would suggest otherwise, Spring is on its way which can only mean one thing - a post on the products I've been loving throughout Winter. The past few months have been pretty rough for me but I have found some amazing holy grail products - silver lining! Things seem to be looking up though so hopefully I can still turn this year into an amazing one. Bring on Spring.

Ciate Mini Mani Month £19 - Homesense (No longer available)
I bought this as an alternative to a chocolate advent calendar this December and I'm so glad I did. This was actually the previous year's calendar so it was down from £52 to £19 which meant it was a no brainer to purchase. It included 22 nail polishes, slightly smaller than the regular ones but they'll still last forever, a set of three glittery nail files which are super cute and a rope bracelet with their logo (a bow) on it which is actually decent quality. I'm so happy with all the colours as there was a great variety and only one (a lime green) which I probably wouldn't wear. It was such good value for money and the polish itself is a superb quality. I'll be keeping an eye out for something similar this year as it definitely lasts longer than a chocolate advent calendar!

One Heck of a Blot £12 - Soap and Glory
After years of swearing by the legendary Rimmel Stay Matte powder, it started to look cakey on my skin so I sought out an alternative. As I have an oily complexion, a powder is a must have in my make up routine and Soap and Glory had an offer on so I thought I'd pick this up and try it out. At £12, it is quite expensive for a mattifying powder but it does the trick for me and keeps my oil at bay so I think it's worth paying more for. It's translucent so perfect for all skin tones, plus it comes with a puff and mirror so great for on the go touch ups. I've actually already repurchased this which is why it looks brand new in the pictures, Soap and Glory always have offers on so it's very rare that you'd have to pay full price for this. You just have to keep a look out for when there's an offer on so you can stock up!

Renewal Hair & Scalp Tonic £5.50 - Tresemme
After bleaching my hair several times in the past six months or so, I think it's pretty safe to say it was wrecked. My scalp was so damaged it actually started to flake (gross, I know) so I went on the hunt for a product to help revive it. This tonic helps nourish the scalp and has worked wonders on mine. It's really easy to use, just apply to the roots after you've showered and then comb it through and it'll work its magic in no time. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone who has put their hair through its paces recently, I know I'm guilty of mistreating mine.

Brow Wiz in 'Medium Brown' £15.50 - Anastasia Beverly Hills
I got this when I went to New York for my birthday in November and it hasn't left my side since. This straight away made it into my everyday make up routine as it's the best eyebrow product I've ever used. I only started filling in my brows about a year ago so I'm not exactly an expert but this pencil is so easy to use, it would be very hard to mess it up. It's the perfect consistency, a little bit waxy, so it stays on all day and it's the PERFECT shade. I always find eyebrow products to be too warm toned but this is an amazing ash brown and matches my eyebrows perfectly. It's lasted me ages as well so you definitely get your money's worth. All I can say is Anastasia Soare is an eyebrow goddess and I can't wait to try the DipBrow Pomade.

Blush in 'Orgasm' £23 - NARS Cosmetics
My wonderful sister gave me this as one of my Christmas presents and I still find it hilarious to say my sister 'gave me an Orgasm for Christmas'. Luckily, it's so well known most people get the joke but I have had a few funny looks! Anyway, I'm sure this product being one of my favourites is no surprise to you all as it's such a cult classic 'suits all' shade. It deserves all the praise it gets though as it's bloody brilliant. It's super pigmented so a little goes a long way which means it's going to last me a long time, I hope! The shade is beautiful and really gives a glowing, natural looking flush to my cheeks. My only gripe is the packaging as it gets so mucky, so quickly! And I feel bad on my other 20 blushes I own as they now get no use. Sorry babies, please forgive me...

Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow in 'Pink Gold' £4.99 - Maybelline
Around Christmas time there was a massive 3 for 2 offer running in Boots and I actually picked this up as my freebie on a bit of a whim. It's come in so handy though as it's so quick and easy to apply which makes it ideal for when I'm in a rush (which is always) or when I just want a simple eye. It also makes a great base, especially for my Naked 3 palette as that's full of pink toned neutrals so it matches really well. I'm definitely going to be picking up a few more of these soon as they're so versatile and such a good price.

Have you tried any of these products? And are you glad to be seeing the end of the winter? I know I am!
